Cross Canada Charity Challenge #129

From July 8-9, 2017, a team of Raymond James employees and friends in Quebec embarked on an epic bike ride from Montreal to Quebec City. Over the course of the weekend, the team covered more than 225 kilometers of land and raised $44,500 for cancer research.

For nine consecutive years, the Quebec Ride to Conquer Cancer has brought together dedicated individuals and teams to raise money for innovative and life-changing cancer research at the Montreal Jewish General Hospital Segal Cancer Center. This year alone, more than 1,100 participants collectively raised over $4.1 million - an incredible feat!

"We are happy to be celebrating Canada's 150th by doing some of the things that Canadians are best at: exploring, being active and helping people," says Taylor Mactavish, Investment Advisor Assistant, Montreal.

This year marks the Quebec team's third year participating in the Ride to Conquer Cancer. Over the past three years, the team has raised $198,811.They are already registered for next year and they welcome new riders!

The Ride is part of the Raymond James Cross Canada Charity Challenge, and the Quebec team members have put in almost 15,000 kilometers on the road so far this year. The distance from St. John's Newfoundland to Vancouver, and back!
